If there’s one thing young people should pursue more than anything, is Wisdom. Proverbs 4:7 says, ‘Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.’ Wisdom is the principal thing. By virtue of being young, it stands to reason that at that stage of your life, you don’t know enough. You lack the life experience to make certain choices in life. As a result, most young people walk in foolishness and you can hear it expressed in their words.
Young people tend to find wholesome speech boring. Many of them want to sound cool. As a result, they use slang to express themselves. And without knowing it, they curse their own lives in the process. Proverbs 18:21 says, ‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.’ In the natural, when you use certain words, you’re likely to invite trouble into your life. You’ll clash with others and they’ll come for you. The same is true in the realm of the Spirit. Certain words attract demonic attention and when you use them, you can curse your life and wonder what’s wrong with it.
So stop saying things like, ‘I’m so crazy’ you’ll go mad. We have a generation of young people who call themselves dogs and bitches, and they wonder why they fornicate like canines. Stop using negative words to express yourself, the devil will take them and bring them to pass. Your words carry Power, be careful how you use them. We’re called to walk like the Lord Jesus Christ and imitate His Example. John 6:63 says, ‘It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.’ The Lord Jesus Chris didn’t walk around Galilee saying stupid things about himself and others. The dirty, foolish and broken language of this world is beneath you. You’re a Child of God. You’re a King. Start using wholesome language to express yourself. You’re Royalty, stop talking like a slave. Glory to God!
DECREE
I’m a Child of God. I’m a King. I’m Royalty. The negative talk of this world is beneath me. I refuse to surrender my tongue to the devil and talk like a slave. Glory to God!
