His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God – Revelation 19:12-13
Before He was called Jesus the Christ, He was and still is the Word of God. When the Word became Flesh, He was named Jesus. This Name ‘Jesus’ means Saviour or Salvation. However, when He returns, He’s not coming back to save us but to set up His Kingdom on the earth and rule and reign for ever. When He returns, He’ll have a different Name that only He knows. He won’t be called ‘Jesus’ any more. The Name ‘Jesus’ is for this dispensation. It’s for the Purposes of getting us to the World to Come. But when we arrive there, He’ll be given a different Name that only He knows. Wow! Glory to God!
Revelation 2:17 says, ‘Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.’ If we dominate in this world and we conquer it as He conquered it, you and I will also be given new Names just as He will have a new Name. Oh, Glory to God! The names we currently bear are for this dimension, but that will soon pass away. Just as God changed Abram to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, Jacob to Israel, and Simon to Peter because of a change in dimension, He’ll do the same for us at the Return of the Lord Jesus Christ. I can’t wait!
2 Corinthians 2:17 says, ‘Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.’ We’re new Creatures in Christ Jesus. What we’re waiting for now are our brand new Resurrection Bodies that look like the Lord Jesus Christ’s glorious Body. When we receive them at the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, we’ll receive our brand new Names as well. In the World to Come, we’ll be new Creatures, with new Bodies, living in the New Heaven and New Earth headquartered in the New Jerusalem. We’ll also be called by a brand new Name just as He will be. I don’t know about you, but this is worth living for, more than that, it’s worth dying for. Glory to God!
THANKSGIVING
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Plan and Purpose You have for my life. I fully submit to your Vision and ask that You sanctify me through and through, and keep my whole Spirit, Soul and Body blameless at the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
