ETERNAL LIFE AND THE BLESSING

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly – John 10:10

At the heart of the Doctrine of Christ is the Message of Eternal Life. That’s the Life the Lord Jesus Christ came to give the world through His Resurrection from the dead. Eternal Life is the Life of Christ. It’s the very life of God. In other Words it’s the Life God lives. It’s Life without death. It’s Life without any limitations such as lack, debt and poverty.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 says, ‘I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life.’ Notice how death goes with the curse but Life goes with the Blessing. Eternal Life is not something that only has relevance in the world to come and can’t be applied to anything in this world. Eternal Life is practical and can be enjoyed in this world.

God has given to us Eternal Life through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, God has blessed us with all the death-defying attributes of His Kingdom. Eternal Life is abundant Life, it’s Life that brings Abundance with it. It drives out lack, debt and poverty since they are byproducts of the fall. They came with death because of sin. But now that you have been given Eternal Life, you have been blessed with Provision as well. But to unlock that Provision, there must be Obedience. That’s why this month we’re giving our First Fruit. We choose Life by obeying the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ. Destruction comes when we choose death through disobedience. We seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things are added unto us. That’s the Doctrine of Christ.

CONFESSION

I choose To live Eternal Life and live in the Blessing by obeying the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to God.
