The realm of darkness is the realm of the grave, it’s the realm of death. But the realm of Resurrection is the realm of Light. We were once locked in the grave because of our transgressions and sins, but because of the Lord Jesus Christ, we’ve been raised up together with Him and are seated in Him in Heavenly Places at the Right Hand of the Father. We’ve passed from death to life. We’ve passed from darkness to Light.
1 Peter 2:9 says, ‘But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.’ We’ve been called out of darkness into God’s marvellous Light. That’s why we can’t be conquered by darkness. Light is greater than darkness. Darkness is no match for the Light that shines in us.
John 8:12 says, ‘Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.’ The Lord Jesus Christ is the Light of the world, and when He gives us Light, we become the Light of the world. But to function in His Light, we must follow Him. Psalm 119:105 says, ‘Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.’ We follow the Lord Jesus Christ by knowing the Doctrine of Christ, which is the Word of Faith. The more we know His Word, the more we become like Him. The more we become like Him, the more the darkness around us recedes. It’s the more we live His Life of Victory and triumph over the conquered prince of darkness and his inferior kingdom.
CONFESSION
Through the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, I’ve been called out of darkness into God’s marvellous Light. Through the Doctrine of Christ, I can navigate the realm of Resurrection because through the Lord Jesus Christ, I’m the Light of this world. Glory to God!
