But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons – Hebrews 12:8
God disciplines His Children, we should discipline ours as well. Discipline is necessary, especially in our day and age. So many parents don’t discipline their children, as a result, their children are unruly and without direction in life. Many parents have a lot to answer for on the Day of Judgment. Society is paying the price for their careless parenting.
There are boundaries in life and children need to be taught this. Being permissive as a parent will not result in your children loving you, they may prefer you but they will have no respect for you. Just as God told Adam and Eve what Tree to eat and not to eat, our children must be taught the difference between right and wrong. Just as God told Adam and Eve what would happen if they ate the wrong Tree, our children must be taught that the wrong choices have disastrous consequences in life.
The reason so many are growing in chronological age but not maturing is because they’re never held to account for anything. God held Adam and Eve responsible for their actions. Most of today’s children have no boundaries, therefore anything goes. They don’t know the difference between right and wrong, therefore they’re confused. They live as if there are no consequences for their actions, therefore they’re wreckless. They’re also immature because they’re never held accountable for anything. If you love your children, you’ll discipline them. Just be bold and put your foot down, they’ll thank you for it later in life. Glory to God!
PRAYER
Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray for Christian parents. May they train their children in the way they should go so that when they’re old they will not depart from it. Amen.
