But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar – James 2:21
The Faith of Abraham, doesn’t just believe but it also has Works of Faith. Why? Faith without Works is dead. Genesis 24:1 says, ‘And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.’ Abraham was blessed in all things. The reason for his success, however, wasn’t that he only believed God. It’s important to believe God’s Word, however, believing is not enough. Faith must have Works. We must also act on the Word of Faith that we hear.
Abraham prospered in all things because his Faith had Works. Genesis 26:5 says, ‘Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.’ Abraham didn’t just believe in God, He also obeyed His Word. When God told him to leave Haran, he did. When God told him to sacrifice Isaac, he did. When God told him to tithe, he did. Today, the Seed of Abraham want the Blessing of Abraham, without the Faith of Abraham. That’s not possible!
John 8:39 says, ‘They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.’ If we call Abraham our Father, we should then have the Faith of Abraham which has the Works of Abraham. We should obey the Commandments of God, and God commands us to give. That’s the Doctrine of Christ. John 14:15 says, ‘If ye love me, keep my commandments.’ If you want to prosper in life, seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness by obeying His Commandments and all these things shall be added unto you. Like Abraham, your Faith must have Works and you’ll be blessed in all things. Glory to God!
CONFESSION
As the Seed of Abraham, I walk in the Faith of Abraham by doing the Works of Abraham. That’s why, like Abraham, I’m blessed in all things. Glory to God!
