By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin – Hebrews 11:24-25
By Faith, Moses refused to identify as an Egyptian. He chose to suffer Persecution along with the People of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. Faith therefore doesn’t just confess but it also leads a Holy Life.
Faith refuses to identify with the things and people of this world. Faith would rather live a Holy Life in this world and be persecuted for it, knowing that one day it will receive an eternal Reward, rather than enjoy the temporary pleasures of sin in this world and burn for them eternally in the World to Come. Faith therefore doesn’t just confess the Promises, it also obeys the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:18 says, ‘Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.’ Faith believes the Word of Faith that there will be a Resurrection of both the Righteous and the damned. That is our Hope, our Expectation. Faith believes there will be eternal Rewards and Punishments. Faith therefore leads a Holy Life in this world so it can be rewarded with Eternal Life and the Kingdom of God in the World to Come.
CONFESSION
I refuse to identify with the Egyptian system of this world. I refuse to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin so that I may receive eternal Rewards with the People of God in the World to Come. Glory to God!
