By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him – Hebrews 11:5-6
Without Faith, it is impossible to please God and yet, Enoch pleased God. Matthew 3:17 says, ‘And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’ Like Enoch, the Lord Jesus Christ also pleased the Father. That means the Lord also lived by Faith.
John 8:29 says, ‘And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.’ The Lord Jesus Christ always did those things that please the Father. John 15:10 says, ‘If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.’ The Lord Jesus Christ led a Holy Life, and that pleases the Father.
Enoch also lived a Holy Life, and that’s how He pleased God. I don’t know about you, but I want the Father to not only say, ‘Well done, good and faithful Servant.’ But I want Him to also say, ‘This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’ I want to so please the Father with my life in this world. Like the Elders, I want the Father to say, ‘This world is not worthy of him.’ Like Enoch, I want to be taken and not see death because I walked so closely with God. Glory to God!
CONFESSION
By Faith, I diligently seek God by obeying the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ and doing those things that are pleasing in His Sight. I want to so shun this world that it must feel it’s not worthy of me. Glory to God!
