By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith – Hebrews 11:7
Like Noah, we’ve been warned of things not yet seen. We’ve been warned of the Day of Judgment, the Lake of Fire. Like Noah, we have to be moved with Godly Fear and prepare for what’s coming to save ourselves and others. We have to live a Holy Life in preparation for what’s coming and warn others before it’s too late.
Faith is the Substance of things hoped for, the Evidence of things not seen. Because of what’s coming, Faith acts accordingly because Faith without Good Works is dead. The Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. And when He comes, He’ll raise the dead and judge every man according to his works. He’ll reward the Righteous with Eternal Life and the wicked with the Lake of Fire.
That’s the Doctrine of Christ. We’ve never seen the Lake of Fire or the New Heaven and the New Earth before, however, Faith believes without having to see first. Faith believes the Word of God, and God’s Word tells us that they exist. We walk by Faith and not by sight. As a result, we have to prepare for the World to Come by living a Holy Life in this world. It’s time to repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
CONFESSION
I’ve never seen the New Jerusalem or the Lake of Fire, but I believe they exist because of the Word of God. As a result, I walk by Faith in God’s Word and not by sight by living a Holy Life in this world to prepare for the World to Come. Glory to God!
