THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH AND THE REVIVAL OF TRUTH

But the Comforter, who is the Holy Ghost whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you – John 14:26

Other than teaching the Church about things pertaining to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit also brings to remembrance all things whatsoever the Lord has said. In other words, the Doctrine of Christ. This is something the modern Church has forgotten or needs teaching on. Matthew 28:20 says, ‘Teaching them to OBEY all things whatsoever I have commanded you…’ Christianity is about Obedience to the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is what shaped the Early Church and the world of their day. This is the Message that turned nations upside down and led to the Persecution of the Church down the ages. The modern Church doesn’t teach Obedience, it teaches believing and receiving. Important as those are, they are not core to the Faith. The Church is meant to make Disciples by teaching them to obey all the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ.

But since the Church is not teaching Obedience, She’s in disobedience to Her Lord. As a result, the nations of the world are in absolute rebellion to the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. As a result, we’ve lost our Status as the Light of the world, and the Salt of the earth. Many speak of the Revival of the Spirit in their regions, however, there’s no remembrance of what the Lord said. The Doctrine of Christ commands Repentance, and thereafter demands Obedience to the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, it demands that we repent, and thereafter do Works in keeping with Repentance. We need the Spirit of Truth to bring a Revival of Truth.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I pray that by the Spirit of Truth, You may revive Truth in the Church. May the Church go back to the Doctrine of Christ, which is Truth. Amen.
