And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment – John 16:8
The only way the Holy Spirit can convict the world of sin, Righteousness, and Judgment is if the Church goes back to the Doctrine of Christ. Luke 24:47 says, ‘And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.’ This Statement by the Lord Jesus Christ is meant to be part of the Great Commission. The Church has gone into all the world, but we’re not preaching Repentance and Remission of sins in His Name.
It’s only when the Preacher tells the sinner to repent of their sin, that they have missed God’s Standard of Righteousness, and that if they continue in that path, they’ll face Judgment in the Lake of Fire, that the Holy Spirit will act and convict the sinner. The current message of the Church is not convicting. It doesn’t rebuke sin, it doesn’t speak of God’s Righteousness, and it most certainly goes nowhere near God’s Judgment. The reason the Early Church was so successful, and we can still see the effects of their Ministry is many nations of the world today, is because the Holy Spirit backed their Message.
The Church needs to go back to what the Lord Jesus Christ commanded Her to preach and teach. God wants to remit the sin of the sinner, but for that to happen, the sinner must first repent. There can be no Revival without Sound Doctrine. The can be no genuine and lasting Move of the Spirit outside obeying what the Lord commanded. When we preach the Doctrine of Christ, the world will be convicted on sin, Righteousness, and Judgment. For there to be a Revival of any kind, there must first be a Reformation of theology.
PRAYER
Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, lead the Church back to the Commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ so that we may a genuine Move of the Spirit. Amen.
