The reason the Lord Jesus Christ could do what He did is because He knew Who He was. He knew His Identity. There was no doubt in His Mind that He was the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He knew that He’s the Source of Eternal Life. As a result, He declared boldly before the world that He’s the Resurrection and the Life. That’s why He could raise the dead.
Like the Lord Jesus Christ, we’re not ordinary people. We have the same Father as Him, the same Eternal Life He has, we have the same Holy Spirit as Him. For all intents of Purposes, the New Birth has made us to be like the Lord Jesus Christ in every way. That’s why we can be His Followers. It would be cruel of Him to expect us to imitate Him if we didn’t have same Abilities as Him.
As long as you think you’re ordinary, you’ll continue to live an ordinary life. You’ll never do anything extraordinary for God. No ordinary person has ever done anything extraordinary. It’s therefore wrong to say that God uses ordinary people. When God meets you, He changes you from being ordinary to being extraordinary so that you can do the extraordinary for Him. Only extraordinary people can do extraordinary things. A tree is known by its fruit. Only extraordinary trees can bear extraordinary fruit. It’s not humility to say you’re ordinary, it’s a lie, it’s an untruth. Like the Lord Jesus Christ, you need to decree and declare who you are. Be bold and say who God says you are and you’ll begin to manifest it in your life.
CONFESSION
Through the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, I’ve been infused with Eternal Life. I’ve been recreated in Christ Jesus to have the same Abilities as Him. I’m not an ordinary person because as He is, so am I in this world. Glory to God!
